The guide is then built from your answers.

What is inside

Florida still requires a test score. UF did not go test-optional. Its Common Data Set marks the SAT or ACT as required to be considered, and UF superscores across sittings. For most families reading this, that alone changes the plan.

Where your child actually stands. Their numbers against UF’s published admitted-student bands: SAT 1380 to 1510, ACT 31 to 34, and a GPA band of 4.5 to 4.7. We tell you plainly that UF does not state which GPA scale that band uses.

Out-of-state is not the penalty you expect. UF admitted 22.3% of Florida residents and 20.5% of other US applicants, a gap of less than two points. International was 10.4%. This is the opposite of the pattern at most public universities, and it changes whether UF belongs on your child’s list.

What 50 current UF students did. Interviewed about how they got in, including how many were routed through Summer B or PaCE rather than a straight fall admission.

The waitlist is not a second chance. For Fall 2025 UF offered 3,196 applicants a waitlist place. 2,737 accepted. One was admitted.

What this cannot do

UF publishes no separate admit rates for Warrington Business, Herbert Wertheim Engineering, the Innovation Academy, PaCE, or Summer B versus Fall, and no usable Early Decision rate. Those stay blank. The residency rates above are our own arithmetic from UF’s published counts and are labelled as ours.

Every figure in the guide is printed next to the document it came from, so you can check it yourself. Where the University of Florida publishes nothing, we say so rather than estimate.
